Responsibilities:
The Hiring and Retention Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire hiring process which includes but is not limited to recruiting, interviewing, on-boarding, and employee orientation.
The Hiring and Retention Manager will also be responsible for the retention of new hires for their first six months of employment to assimilate those individuals as National Beef/Iowa Premium employees.
Hiring and Retention Manager essential job functions:
Develops a plan to ensure that the facility attracts, hires, and retains our employees while growing a strong talent pipeline.
This will include community outreach to local agencies, schools, and organizations Design and implement an overall recruiting strategy Fulfill plant staffing and retention objectives Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, and Internet sites in conjunction with the National Beef Corporate Staff; Provide organizational information, telling the National Beef Story, discuss our opportunities and benefits; Make presentations and maintain rapport with these organizations and schools Determine applicant requirements by reviewing the job description and qualifications Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing their responses and comparing qualifications to the job requirements Track and monitor all applicants and new hires from initial contact through six months of employment Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local statutes and company policies during the on-boarding and hiring process Other duties as assigned This is a safety sensitive position.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates for the Hiring and Retention Manager position should possess the following:
Five (5) years of experience in recruiting and/or Human Resources Strong communication, interpersonal and decision making skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases and management systems Familiarity with job boards, Human Resource Software, databases, and management systems Experience conducting interviews Bilingual English/Spanish or English/French Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or related field Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and data analysis Experience developing recruiting strategies Desire to grow professionally with networking and available training opportunities Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.
